It’s been over a year since I last posted, so to say the least my midyear review gets an F-. And if you had any question, I’m an all A student, so I’m determined to improve.

I had plenty of excuses (don’t we all?) … ultimately focusing on other areas of business. However, it occurred to me that this little blog is one of the best ways I show love.

And isn’t that what it’s all about?

When I was going through the newborn stages with Betty (my now two year old) I started taking notice of podcasts. My favorite was just two moms, from Shelbyville, Kentucky chatting about this and that in mom world. They were authentic and I loved it. Nothing special, nothing famous. Their chatter made me laugh and breath easier at such a tender mom-stage with a new born and toddler. Their loyalty to family and God was inspiring. I felt fortunate to be included in their circle. Since that year the ladies have quit the series and while I’m listening to heroes like Oprah (Super Soul Sunday) or Dax Shepard (Armchair Expert) I miss the days of just simple chit chat between moms.

And thats where I humbly hope this blog jumps back in; a source of connection and a colorful, lighthearted place of restoration and fun.

My creative mind is constantly generating ideas for conversations, projects or design to share. My business sense and leadership experience offers lessons everyone can use. My passion for being inspired and inspiring promises I will set forward, again humbly, to fill the blog pages with the best for us all.

If you were a follower from the beginning, maybe you missed me? And I’m glad you’re back! If you’re new, thank you for taking interest and I’m glad to have you along.

With the relaunch, I can also promise more product for sale and Mellen artwork in the world. More to come, xoxoxxx!

And finally, one last point, starting back up is not without uncertainty and self doubt … Imma gonna just throw this one out there … is anyone still reading blogs? … really, though………. hello?       (kidding)
